Samsung won’t be the only major company offering an 8-inch tablet with ZTE readying to get into action, too. The newly unveiled V81 has an 8-inch 1,024×768 pixels touchscreen (4:3 aspect ratio) just like the iPad mini. Moreover, it rocks a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing one, HSPA, Wi-Fi, 3,700mAh battery, while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will run the show. Yeah, it’s a low-end offering — cause otherwise it would have a quad-core CPU — one that will hit portfolios of mobile operators all around the world, which on their end will change the V81′s name into something more memorable.
As I’m writing this, we’ve no information when the first “version” of ZTE V81 will be released nor how much it will cost. We do hope to get some answers while at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, when we’ll get back to you with additional information. Stay tuned in the meantime…
