We know that Sony will start selling its hot-new Xperia Z by the end of this month. However, it wasn’t clear whether they were talking about a 3G or 4G (LTE) model. Now we know that an LTE-enabled device will closely follow its 3G counterpart, with Vodafone starting to sell it in March. In fact, the Big Red carrier’s British division has already started taking pre-orders, offering Sony’s superphone for free on a two-year contract of at least 42 GBP per month.

Meanwhile, in Germany – Sony said the Xperia Z LTE will go on sale starting February 21st. At that time, the unlocked unit will go for 600 EUR, which is kinda steep. Then again, this price doesn’t commit you on any long-term contracts and you’re free to select a carrier and plan you want.

Again, the Sony Xperia Z is an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-based dust-proof and water-resistant smartphone with a 5-inch full HD screen, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and 16GB of internal memory.
