British BlackBerry fans who don’t want to get the new Z10 with a carrier contract will be able to buy the unlocked unit from Clove, starting March 1st. The phone retailer announced the news at its blog, and BlackBerry’s baby is already available for purchase though you’ll have to wait for 10 more days to get it (when the stock arrives).
The price with VAT is set at 534 GBP (about $828) making it a tough sell except for hard-core CrackBerry addicts who simply hate committing to carrier contracts. I too don’t like them [contracts] but I also don’t want to put that much cash upfront for a phone. And besides, you’ll still need to buy some texts, minutes and data…
Anyway, if you want to grab the unlocked BlackBerry Z10, you can do that from this page at Clove’s website.
UPDATE: Unlocked-Mobiles.com also has BlackBerry Z10 for £524.99.
