Roughly a month ago we’ve told you that Neo is working on a powerful smartphone that will be offered for less than $200. We now have new details to add to the story, and they [details] are pretty amazing.
You see, the upcoming Neo N003 will be the world’s cheapest quad-core smartphone with a 5-inch full HD screen, with users in China soon being able to buy it for just $145 (899 Yuan). That’s an awesome price for what N003 has to offer — it packs MediaTek’s MT6589 quad-core processor, 13-megapixel camera on the back, the mentioned 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and a pretty solid 3,000 mAh battery.
As usual, we’ve no idea whether Neo plans to bring its baby to the Western hemisphere where it could face “certain legal problems” caused by devices like the T001, which is a blatant copy of Samsung’s Galaxy S III Mini. We’ll let you know if we hear something new on that front. Stay tuned in the meantime…
