LG’s Times Square ad suggest you don’t have to wait 4 the next Galaxy – Optimus G is already here 4 you

You know how Samsung occupied prime ad space on the Times Square to get us “ready 4 the next Galaxy.” Guess what, ads above those have been rented by LG (which occupied them for 20 years) and they’re using this space to promote the Optimus G smartphone. LG is doing this by reminding everyone that their phone is already up for sale saying “LG Optimus G is here 4 you now!” and “It’ll take more than 4 to equal one Optimus G”.

Pretty clever when you think about it. In fact, these ads have also found space in a Samsung promo video (at :49 and 2:04), which follows below.

We like the Optimus G but at the same time, we can’t really say it’s as powerful as Galaxy S4 will be. Rather, we want to see the Optimus G2 and G Pro hitting the stores all around the world. We know LG can make awesome phones and are glad to see them challenging the market leader…
