Don’t hold your breath for new devices unveiled during next month’s Google I/O. According to SidhTech’s report, we ain’t gonna see neither the Nexus 5 nor Motorola X phone announced at that time. Rather, the search giant will show us the updated version of the Nexus 4, featuring 32GB of internal storage and LTE connectivity support. I would also guess a slightly beefed-up version of the Nexus 7 will be on display, featuring Qualcomm’s rather than NVidia’s processor inside. I’m just hoping that both of these devices will sports Qualcomm’s newer Snapdragon 600 rather than Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (which is found in the existing Nexus 4).
On the other hand, the big news should be the release of a whole new version of Android – 5.0 aka Key Lime Pie, which should help bridge the gap between desktop and mobile computing. Plus, let’s not forget the so-much-needed unified messaging that will allow users to access different messaging services from a single place. Can’t wait to see what these guys are up to…
