Pantech Perception has been finally announced by Verizon Wireless, even though we’ve first seen it back in January. As you may know from that post, we’re talking about a solid mid-to-high end device with a big, 4.8-inch 720p HD screen a la Samsung Galaxy S III. In addition, it also comes with Qualcomm’s dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing one, LTE connectivity support and 16GB of internal storage. Or to put it differently, the Perception is just like the U.S. version of Sammy’s last year flagship device. The price is set at $99.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. The downside? The phone ships with Android Ice Cream Sandwich on board though Verizon promised to launch the Jelly Bean update soon.

As for when can you get this Pantech smartphone, it should be available tomorrow both online and in Verizon retail stores. If you don’t want to spend more than 100 bucks, you won’t go wrong with Perception.
