The long-time rumored Vivo Xplay 3S has been finally unveiled few days ago. And yes, this is the world’s first smartphone with 2K screen, which translates into 1440×2560 pixels or 490 ppi. For those that count, that impressive panel has a diagonal of 6 inches.
There’s also Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 800 chip in its 8974AB reincarnation that rocks four Krait 400 cores that can go up to 2.3 GHz, as well as Adreno 330 GPU. Plus, let’s not forget full 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, dual-mode LTE connectivity, stereo speakers with ESS Technology’s ES9018 DAC and Texas Instruments’ OPA2604 amplifier, ensuring full sound both from the loudspeakers and DTS headphones that come included in the box. Finally, for what it matters, Vevo also included the ever popular fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone.
Price wise, the unlocked Xplay 3S will go for 3498 Yuan which is the amount that translates into roughly $580.
To sum it up – Chinese Vevo announced what is the best Android smartphone ever. Not only does it have a 2K screen, but the rest of its specs are equally impressive. Unfortunately though, we don’t know when or even whether this bad boy will ever be released in the West.
