Nokia X may not be scrapped after all. The new information coming from India’s GoAndroid website (and brought to our attention by GSMarena) suggests that the device will join Nokia’s Asha line-up in March.
We’re still clueless how the Finns will end-up calling this phone but we know what’s it all about. It packs a 4-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage. In other words, it’s like the Lumia 520 with the only difference being in the platform it runs – Android instead of Windows Phone.
The Nokia X may be available in both single- and dual-SIM versions with the latter likely targeting users in select emerging markets of the world… We’ll let you know when we hear something new about Nokia’s first-ever Android device.
