E3 2010: Ultimate Spider-Man: Total Mayhem Announced for the iPhone

Is your spidey sense tingling for some total mayhem? It looks like Gameloft has gotten their hands on another Marvel property to turn into a game on the iPhone as they released a trailer for their upcoming title, Ultimate Spider-Man: Total Mayhem.

The game isn’t set to any of the recently released films, instead they’re based on the Spider-Man comics itself, which is why the overall art style gives off a more comic book look to it.  As you’ll see in the trailer, it looks like Gameloft has created a true Spider-Man game experience on the iPhone as you can swing just about anywhere in the game world. You’ll also be able to perform a number of furious combos against your adversaries, allowing you to combine melee, jump, & web based attacks.

Judging by the trailer, Ultimate Spider-Man: Total Mayhem could be a lot of fun. I just hope it’s more fun than Gameloft’s previous Marvel superhero game, Iron Man 2.  Keep an eye out for this game when it’s released later this Summer.
