mTrip launches travel guides for the iPhone

mTrip Travel Guides have been released in the Apple AppStore, packing a number of features, from planning your itinerary to guiding you around the city and describing tourist attractions, restaurants, hotels and more.

That itinerary planning features seems especially interesting as it uses “advanced algorithm” to suggest the “most personalized trip to reflect the travelers interests” based on the trip dates, pace preference, opening hours, geographical locations of tourist attractions and traveler ratings.

In addition, there’s plenty of content included on tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping, nightlife and hotels; provided by Falk CIS (one of Europe’s leading travel content providers) and other travelers.

Navigation component is also built-in to guide you to selected points of interest either by public transportation or by foot. You can either look on a map or take the “augmented reality route.” Best of all, navigation works even while you’re offline — I guess mTrip apps come with some pre-loaded maps, which is very cool!

Finally, you can share your trip with friends by sending them virtual postcards via Facebook or email.

mTrip apps cover the following cities: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Barcelona, New York, San Francisco and Chicago; and each app is available in English, French, German and Spanish, while European destinations are also available in Italian. Each of the apps cost $5.99.
