Joel Comm Introduces Mobile Syndication Service: Launch Your Own iPhone App!

Have you ever wanted to launch your own personal iPhone app? If you have, my pal Joel Comm has coined a new phrase… and iPhone application that will be of interest to you. He’s calling the new service ‘MSS’, or ‘Mobile Syndication Service’. What he does is simple. He compiles all of your information, your contact phone number, blog RSS feed, your calendar, media and twitter information, and packages it up into one tight little app… Branded with your own images and information. Looks pretty cool from what I’ve seen so far.

What do you get with your own personal iPhone app via Joel Comm?

  • a home screen with your phone number and message of the day
  • a news tab that lets you import your own rss feed (great for bloggers)
  • a calendar tab
  • a media tab that allows you to display your audios, videos, etc.
  • a twitter tab to keep people on top of your ‘tweets’

There’s also a handy web-based backend that lets you manage all of the content found within your app. Change up settings, feed URLs, import media and more. Looks very easy to use.

Joel has also launched his own personal version of his ‘MSS’ app, and it is free within iTunes. You can check it out here (iTunes Link Alert!) to see for yourself how it works, and how it could work for you.

So, you want your own app yet? If you do, you can head over to mobilesyndicationservice.com and submit the form at the bottom of the page. While you’re there check out the demo video for more information.

Note: Yes, this is the same Joel Comm responsible for the ‘iFart Mobile’ application (ughhhh). Gotta give the guy credit, the app is still doing remarkably well in the App Store.
