Forum Nokia now lets you share files

Part of the service that Forum Nokia
provides to Nokia developers is a discussion board where developers can
go to get help from each other. As manager over the past year I’ve
tried to improve the forums so that you get answers faster and they are
more useful. A recent feature included is the ability to upload files.
This has been announced with little fanfare and it isn’t an obvious
option. What does “manage files” mean it certainly wasn’t my choice for
file uploading but that is the secret to putting your cool example
codes, white papers and other things that don’t fit on a normal
discussion board.

There are some legal restrictions,
just drop to the bottom of any Forum Nokia web page and click on the
legal notice link and there are some file restrictions basically you
can’t upload a executable without zipping the file. Still, all in all
this is a great new feature that is going to help Forum Nokia members
help each other. It is also a cool way to show how smart you are and
get nominated to be a Forum Nokia Champion. We are going to try some
other things in the future that will improve the experience of Forum
Nokia discussion boards. If you have any suggestions or ways to improve
the message board let me know.

Making life easier for developers is what makes them want to stick to your platform. Bravo!
