Mobile Burn reviews the Nokia 7373

7373

WARNING: I have a strong bias against this form factor. I love candy bars, sliders are cool, flip phones don’t do anything for me, but the "flipping swivel" as I like to call it has no place in my heart and soul. None. Zero.

Snippets:

I would have preferred at least a navigational D-pad on the front. At least then I wouldn’t have to open the phone every time I wanted to read an SMS. However, that would have just spoilt the overall design of the phone. A matter of form over function here, I suppose.

The camera isn’t an auto-focus type, so the photographs it makes appear slightly out of focus – especially when sceneries are taken. In poor lighting, the night mode managed to capture pretty decent pictures but the amount of noise is quite high.

When listening with the supplied headset, the music sounded crisp and clear but slightly lacking in the bass department. If you wish to listen to music with your own headphones, you will have to purchase a Nokia headphone adaptor since one isn’t included in the sales package.

The 7373 has 7 profiles available, all of them user editable. Being timed profiles, you can set the 7373 to revert back to the normal profile from your meeting profile once your appointment is over. This is pretty handy since you might miss a few calls just because you forgot to turn off the silent profile.

[This IS NOT built in to S60!]
