If all those new-fangled smartphones and their high-end feature sets aren’t your cup of tea, Sprint may have a new PTT device for you. Sprint has just launched the Motorola Debut i856 as the first push-to-talk handset to sport a slider design and a focus on multimedia features. We’ve already seen the Debut go live on Boost Mobile, but now Sprint is offering the new Motorola Debut i856 with a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, music player, and a microSD memory card slot for $99.99 (with new 2-year contract and $50 rebate).

One of the Debut i856’s headlining features is its ability to switch from PTT mode to voice call mode with just a push of a button. We’re not big on PTT around these parts, but for those that use push-to-talk features, PTT-to-voice could be huge. Imagine using the instant-on connection of Sprint PTT service combined with a traditional voice call connection. Sounds like a good combo to us!
