TeliaSonera’s LTE network went live today, and as the world’s first commercial LTE network in existence the first question everyone has on their mind is how fast is it?

How does a ping of 37 ms sound, with 42.78 Mbps (5.3375 megabytes per second) download and 5.3 Mbps (0.6625 megabytes per second) upload sound to you?

Fast. Crazy fast. OMFG fast. It’s less than $1/month with no bandwidth caps until July 1, 2010 when they kick up the price to $85/month and apply a bandwidth cap based on the usage they’re going to be seeing over the next 6 months.
