Samsung SCH-W960 comes with 3D display, dual DMB

Samsung has a new device for its domestic market marked as SCH-W960, which is interesting because it comes with some kind of an AMOLED 3D display. I’m not sure how that works in “real-life” but it definitely sounds interesting. Best of all, it seems that the phone comes with the ability to convert 2D content to 3D and even enjoy a 3D TV channel, which is super cool.

In addition to that awesome screen which by the way measures 3.3 inches and shows a WQVGA resolution, the SCH-W960 also comes with dual DMB mobile TV (both terrestrial and satellite — like the SCH-W890 model), 3-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, DNSe 2.0, DivX support, HSDPA connectivity, and I’m guessing Bluetooth and microSD memory card slot.

And that’s about all we have at this stage. Apparently, the device should be released anytime now, when we should get some additional information. Hopefully, we’ll see something like this (a 3D screen-equipped handset) hitting markets outside of Korean peninsula in the near future. I’ll keep my fingers crossed…
