App store analytics company Distimo announced the public beta launch of Distimo Monitor, a free app store analytics tool for mobile developers. The new service collects all relevant statistics about mobile applications across all app stores and provides developers with a comprehensive dashboard that includes the total daily downloads, revenues and rankings worldwide of their application(s). Moreover, it allows the developer to see how they stack up against their competitors by comparing their own apps against competitive apps in any country.

The free to use service/application doesn’t require code insertions within apps in order to work. It can monitor unlimited number of applications and even supports currency conversion for all major currencies.

At the moment, it sings along the Apple AppStore and Google Android Market, with more stores being planned for the near future. More precisely, the Distimo folks are working to make Distimo Monitor support BlackBerry App World, Nokia Ovi Store, Palm App Catalog, Windows Marketplace for Mobile, as well as mobile operator and independent stores such as Verizon VCast and GetJar.
