Viral PR: Nokia 2 Sony Ericsson 0

00859_radioactive.jpgWe all know viral marketing is another buzz word and companies are trying their best to find the right formula to create a marketing blitz that reaches epic proportions a la iPhone. The problem is predicting what will go viral is next to impossible. Sony Ericsson has a fantastic marketing department and I generally enjoy their commercials more so than Nokia’s, but in todays world of embedded content there is one rule that all viral videos share: give your content legs so it can roam all over the internet.

Nokia used youtube in both their jealous computers campaign and nsyndrome, Sony launched a new site recently called “Shake Your City.” The video is great, it even got a chuckle out of me, something very hard to do to the jaded, sick and twisted individual who I look at everyday in the mirror. The problem however is that I can not embed it into this blog post. I really want to, because honestly I think it deserves to be spread.

Take the time to watch it.
