Putty Squad is another classic game that will extend its life on the iPhone

If you remember, Putty Squad was released on SNES back in 1994. Then it was planned for Amiga and even received great reviews in magazines like Amiga Power, but the game was never actually launched for Commodore’s platform.

Now it is about to get a second life on the iPhone/iPod Touch and PSP. The release date is set at some point this fall when you will be able to guide the once-famous putty as it inflates, stretches, flattens and bounces around the screen. As you may know from playing the original title on SNES, you’re on a mission to rescue other putties, your friends…

In a nutshell, Putty Squad has a somewhat awkward storyline but it’s fun nevertheless. It’s not a super-fast action game, rather one that will engage your intellect as you try to move Putty to the next level…

I’ll stop here as you can get additional details from Putty Squad’s Wikipedia page.
