Swing Like a Pro is a new iPhone app for wannabe golfers that takes “golf swing analysis to a new level.” Thanks to the iPhone’s built-in accelerometer, the application enables users to simulate a golf swing using nothing but their shiny handset and immediately compare their swing to the reference swing of golf professional. Among the things you can analyze are swing speed, acceleration, tempo, back swing and follow-through completion and eventually make adjustments to improve your game in real time.
Designed by Golfcepts, Swing Like a Pro collects 100 data points per second on hand speed and position through the swing, breaking down each swing into six elements: back swing velocity, back swing extension, down swing acceleration, follow-through acceleration, hand position and follow-through extension.
The application was developed by scientists and engineers both of which have extensive experience in physics and aeronautical engineering, while developers hold numerous patents and copyrights, including advanced motion systems for flight simulation…
