Just recently, Cingular/AT&T and Nokia announced the launch of a special, limited edition Andy Warhol camera phones. The new phone (N73?) will sport a 3.2 MP camera with a zoom for portrait taking, and will support instant photo upload to an online gallery, where the photos will be “warholized”.
The cylindric shaped phone will be multicolored, reminiscent of Warhol’s famous Campbell soup can renderings. Furthermore, the device will come pre-loaded with an image gallery of some the artist’s most famous paintings as well as a ringtone that will say in his own voice: “In the future everyone will be world famous for fifteen minutes.”
The Nokia Warhol edition is coming this summer, with the retail price of $1,500. Hey, it’s an artistic phone, so the price is right… or not! (via: textually.org)
