Pretec has introduced two new flash memory cards at Photokina 2008. The first is a 64GB CF model, and the second is a… wait for it… 100GB CF model! The previous record for a CF memory card was 48GB, so these two new cards are sort of a big deal. The new cards are metal-housed and look like their built to take a beating. They can get access speeds of up to 35mbps, which means they will be solid for use in high end cameras/SLR’s.
Pretec wasn’t done there however. They also wanted to break read/write records while they were at it. They’ve also released super high speed 333X 32GB and 50GB CF cards. With these bad boys you’ll be transferring photos on and off in no time.
Pretec has also decided it wants the read / write speed records as well, and to that end has released the super high speed 333X 32GB and 50GB CF cards, which means you’ll be getting those photos on and off there faster than you can say Flickr.
The aforementioned cards also give users the option to create a SATA hard drive while using the cards. Which will allow the user to create a max of 256GB storage on a 2.5 inch drive. The drive is proprietary to Pretec.

With all of this said, expect to pay through the mouth for the storage. You’ll be looking at around £400 for the high-capacity cards.
