Nuance Communications unveiled a new version of Swype, its popular a “four-in-one” virtual keyboard that combines touch and voice input. The new version is obviously smarter and more personalized, getting better every time you swype, speak, tap and/or write.

New features included in this release are:

  • Next Word Prediction – Nuance integrated capabilities from its renowned XT9 portfolio, relying on the historical usage to determine the next word.
  • Voice-Text Dictionary Syncing – Every new word you enter on the keyboard gets added to your personal dictionary for speech AND text. Moreover, Swype can also learn from emails, texts and posts, all of which are mapped into “unified language model.”
  • Languages – Swype now supports more than 55 languages which can be downloaded right from within the app.

The new version of Swype is available for OEMs as well as via an SDK for other operating systems. Individual users on their end can get the app from Swype’s beta website…
