British Royal Mail is apparently looking to set up its own MVNO service. The company has some 11,500 retail outlets across the UK, giving it a huge retail presence.
According to Mobile Today, the Post Office has sent out requests for information to suppliers. In the case an agreement is signed, the state-owned company will take up to a year to start offering mobile services.
Meanwhile, Royal Mail is in the midst of revamping of its retail operations to prepare them for the 21st century by making them NFC-enabled. The company already offers landline and domestic internet access services through reseller agreements…
