BlackBerry Storm Getting New Selection Tool?

RIM was really rolling the dice with the BlackBerry Storm’s clicking touchscreen, and has steep resistance in SurePress adoption. Even though the hardware is locked in, there’s still a lot they can do to improve the experience from the software end, including this update which makes selecting text a little more visible than the single blinking cursor. There’s still a ways to go to make the Storm’s touchscreen appealing to a wider audience; a lot of folks have been asking for straight-up touch-typing like most other touchscreen devices, since requiring the clicking mechanism to activate each letter can really slow down your speed. This particular update should be on the way soon, and will also allow for long-press copy and paste.
