Fido To Sell ‘Refreshed’ iPhone 3G’s

fido-refreshed-iphoneA little while ago Fido announced that they would be starting to really push their current iPhone 3G models out the door. It was yet another simple sign that a next-gen iPhone was on the way.

Now, for those still looking to get a great deal on an iPhone, Rogers’ discount carrier Fido has announced that they will be offering ‘refreshed’ iPhones. These devices were purchased from Fido but returned within their 15 day exchange or return period. So, if you don’t mind a slightly ‘handled’ iPhone in your pocket, this is yet another chance to pick up an iPhone for a decent price.

These ‘refreshed’ iPhones will run you $149 (regular $199) for the 8GB on a 3-year contract… and $249 (regular $299) for the 16GB on a 3-year contract.. Not bad. It’s also worth noting that ‘refreshed’ does not mean ‘refurbished’. Refurbished devices actually rebuilt with new parts from Cupertino. Refreshed models are simply exchanges or returns as I mentioned above… So for the most part they should be ‘all good’.
