Nokia N93 vs N93i vs Canon Powershot A510: The hand

The hand is my favorite part of the human anatomy.

The way it is constructed, the power of the sense of touch, the complicated bone, muscle and nerve structures required to make such precise motions … it’s just such a beautiful sculpture.

Here are 3 images. The Nokia N93 and N93i have been set to "close up" mode and I choose "fluorescent" to match the lightbulbs in my room. The Canon was set to "automatic" mode, all I did was his the macro button and turn off the flash. All 3 cameras were set to take a picture after 2 seconds, and attached to the Nokia DT-22 tripod.

If this isn’t a test of flesh tones, then I don’t know what is.

REMINDER: Zero post processing work was done on these. I merely resized them all so they can be 700 pixels wide to fit on my website for people who still have XGA screens.

Which do you think is the best? This test is much more fair then the mirror mirror on the wall, whose the sharpest of them all test I did earlier.

Thank you James for calling me out on that one. I was going to do more testing later on in the week anyways, I just wanted to give you a rebuttal with a simple image comparison that show results containing zero post processing.

UPDATE: Can this be? The Nokia N93 produces better images compared to the N93i? More testing much be done. I’m sure James will be conducting some of his own tests as well.
