iTunes 9 to bring iPhone icon organization, social networks integration, Blu-ray support?

iTunes 9 rumors

Recently we’ve started hearing about the updates Apple is preparing for the upcoming iTunes 9. More specifically, there are 3 key points being mentioned:

  • First and most important, once released – the new iTunes will allow users to visually organize their iPhone/iPod Touch apps (actually icons) from iTunes, making sure the icon order is intact after every new synchronization. With the growing number of apps every iPhone user is running, this could come really handy.
  • Then there’s some kind of Twitter/Facebook/Last.fm integration. Details are scarce at the moment, but it’s clear Apple must tackle social networking in some way.
  • Finally, people are talking about the Blu-ray support. Apparently, upcoming Macs could/will come with Blu-ray drives and that will need proper software support.

Personally I find the first point the most important one, though you never know how Apple could go with that social networking “thing.” We’ll see…
