Apptizr launches iPhone application for personalized app recommendations

Apptizr iPhone app

Apptizr, the app recommendation service which we covered in the past, is going beyond web with a dedicated iPhone app. Just like their web offering, the iPhone app allows users to discover new apps and get “personalized recommendations catered to their tastes.” In addition to matching user’s individual tastes, Apptizr also accounts for app quality, recommending only the most highly-rated apps in each genre.

From the press release:

Called the “Pandora for iPhone apps,” Apptizr is free and easy to use. To start receiving personalized app recommendations, users simply provide the name or category of apps they enjoy. With as little as one word, Apptizr will start providing app recommendations. Over time, Apptizr further refines its recommendations, as users indicate whether they liked or disliked the recommended apps.

And once you identify an app you like, you can bookmark, download or share it with your friends. In addition to the email, you can also receive app recommendations via iPhone’s push notifications, which can be both useful and annoying, depending on the fact whether you really need that app or not.

Anyway, AppStore link is here, and the website is located at apptizr.com.
