SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 officially official for Symbian, Windows Mobile and Android

As expected, SPB Software has officially announced SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 for three major smartphone platforms – Symbian, Windows Mobile and Android, with apparent plans to spread to other phones at some point in the future. Here’s what’s new:

  • New 3D engine with eye candy effects for media player, photo viewer and weather
  • Natural Interaction Engine – which includes support for accelerometer and multi-touch
  • 3D widgets
  • Tight integration with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks
  • SPB UI Builder 2.0 – for easy customization
