T-Mobile Springboard will be finally available on November 16 for $179.99

Remember the T-Mobile Springboard? Well the 7-inch tablet wasn’t released on November 9th as we previous thought; instead the carrier decided to postpone the launch for another week and now we’re hearing it will be available on November 16th. It is said that the 7-inch tablet (which we think of as T-Mobile’s version of Huawei MediaPad) will cost $179.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a two-year contract. Specs wise, the Springboard sports a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, Read more

The Nexus Evolution chart

We’ve already went through the iPhone evolution and now it’s time to give the same treatment to Google’s Nexus family. From the original Nexus One to the brand new Nexus Galaxy, every Google phone was a bestselling device. And while we still wait for the last Nexus phone to start selling, we’ve no doubts it will hit the milestone set by Samsung and Google. But I said it enough. Here’s the chart… And feel free to add your two cents after the break. And if you need a bigger image, Read more

Pocket God gets its 41st episode!

Talk about supporting existing customers. Bolt Creative released 41st (yes that’s forty-first) update to its super-popular Pocket God game. The new episode titled “I Sting the Body Electric” doesn’t just add new level, but also comes with iOS 5 support, including asynchronous turn-based gaming and iCloud storage. The new update introduces a new coral reef location on the ocean floor, which is infested with deadly jellyfish. Your goal, as you can imagine, is to feed your pygmies to the electrified jellyfish or make a circle out of them to trap Read more

Samsung unveils Pink Ribbon editions of Galaxy S Plus and Chat 335 in the Netherlands

Samsung is running a neat campaign in the Netherlands, offering two of its devices in Pink Ribbon editions to support the global fight against breast cancer. Unfortunately the Pink Ribbon version of the Galaxy S II is not included – users can choose between the Galaxy S Plus and Ch@t 335, the former being an upgrade to the original Galaxy S smartphone, and the latter a QWERTY keyboard equipped feature phone. Both phones are clad in white with a Pink Ribbon logo at the back. When it comes to finances, Read more

U.S. Cellular’s HTC Hero S pictured alongside Motorola Electrify

Aside from the Motorola Electrify, U.S. Cellular will be adding another Android smartphone to its offering in the next couple of days (or weeks). It’s the HTC Hero S, which as far as we see is the carrier’s version of the Kingdom (EVO Design 4G). If that’s true (and we think it is), expect a device with specs that include a single-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 4-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display, 5-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing VGA camera (for video calls), GPS, 3G and Wi-Fi data, Bluetooth and so on. Pierre Cardin tablet gets Gingerbread update, lower price tag

Remember the not-so-loved Pierre Cardin’s 7-inch tablet? When we talked about it, it was shipping with Android 2.2 Froyo on board. No more – the PC-7006 got “G” at the end (so it’s PC-7006G now), which stands for… (guess)… Gingerbread. What’s more, the price went down, from 274.99 GBP (about $438) to 224.99 GBP (about $358). Sadly the specs are unchanged and they still include the 800×480 pixels display. If it only had a 1024×600 pixels screen, I would recommend Pierre Cardin’s baby to all fashionistas out there. This way Read more

Thieves stole some 2,700 BlackBerry Torch 9810 devices from a Mississauga warehouse between August 19th & 20th. The three skids with all those phones, valued at about $1.1 million, contain 900 grey and 1,800 white Torch 9810 units. At the moment, Police has no clue who the thieves are though they have the device ID and PIN numbers and will be on the lookout when the stolen devices are activated. Those found in possession of stolen phones are committing a criminal offence. Despite that fact, I’m sure we could expect Read more

Google drops Nexus One upgrade price by $100, offers refunds

T-Mobile Google has dropped the upgrade price of the Nexus One to $279, which is $100 cheaper than the previous price of $379. Google and T-Mobile have been hit with some harsh criticism from Nexus One customers upset over slow-to-respond customer service and unreliable T-Mobile 3G service leading up to T-Mobile’s not-so-coincidental decision to slash $100 of the price of a Nexus One for T-Mobile customers looking to upgrade their phones. Effective January 14, T-Mobile Google will charge upgrade eligible customers just $279 for a Nexus One. The company will Read more
