The Archos 80 Xenon was unveiled today, adding to Archos’ Elements tablet line. The 8-inch device will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 1.2 GHz processor and a 1024×768 IPS display, 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of storage which is expandable via a microSD card. While we didn’t see any substantial Android updates or a new Nexus phone at Google I/O yesterday, Android and Me was able to get its hands on the elusive white Nexus 4. Thanks to a tip from HTC’s Facebook page, it looks as though owners of the HTC One X, One X+ One S and the HTC Butterfly will be receiving a Sense 5 update. Samsung has been hard at work on developing a new 5G Millimeter-wave transceiver technology that will substantially increase the data speeds across the globe. The technology transmits data in the millimeter-wave band at a frequency of 28 GHz, and provides a speed of up to 1.056 Gbps to a distance of up to 2 kilometers.
