US Cellular will get its own version of the Samsung Galaxy S II. Marked as SCH-R760, it has been approved by the FCC and is now officially ready to be sold on the U.S. soil. Huawei Ascend II hitting US Cellular next week

US Cellular is adding its first Huawei device to the offering. The Ascend II already got a dedicated page at the carrier’s website, though at the moment you can only sign-up for e-mail updates. The Android-powered smartphone will start selling online next week and will hit stores in early January. U.S. Cellular will carry the iPhone when it has LTE

US Cellular has decided to wait for Apple to release an LTE version of the iPhone before it carries the popular handset on its network, according to Ted Carlson, CEO of its parent company TDS. U.S. Cellular is slashing the prices of many of its smartphones even before Black Friday. The carrier will offer a number of devices for $99.99 or less through November 28th, including: Android-powered Motorola ELECTRIFY and HTC Hero S, HTC 7 Pro Windows Phone, BlackBerry Torch 9850 and BlackBerry Bold 9650 are $99.99, BlackBerry Curve 9350, Samsung Mesmerize (U.S. Cellular’s version of the Galaxy S), HTC Wildfire S and LG Optimus U and the upcoming Samsung Repp are free, HTC Merge is $79.99, and LG Genesis could be yours for $49.99. You know that iPhone that millions of consumers want and Sprint spent $20 billion to be able to sell? U.S. Cellular said it passed on the device because it would have cost too much and Apple’s terms were too onerous, according to a report from FierceWireless.
