FCC gives carriers $300 million to roll out 3G and 4G in rural areas

U.S. Cellular and Alltel are teaming-up over “U Prepaid,” a no contract wireless service that will be offered in select Walmart Stores across 18 states beginning in May. Analyst: smaller carriers to grab 19 percent of smartphone sales by 2016

Are smaller carriers on the rise? One analyst seems to think so. US Cellular starts selling its first LTE phone, the Galaxy S Aviator

US Cellular is moving up in prestige with its announcement that it has begun selling its first 4G LTE smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator.
