You should check out the Acer Iconia Tab A200, which is now (rather than on January 15th as we previously thought) available for $349.99 from Best Buy. A couple of months ago we heard that Acer was working on a tablet that would run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, have a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and most impressively pack a 10.1 inch display that could push 1920 x 1200 pixels. The Iconia Tab A700 as it came to be called remained a rumor for quite some time, but now it’s official … sort of. While Acer hasn’t announced the Iconia Tab A700, they are showing it off at CES. It delivers everything the rumors said … Read more

Want the brand new Acer Iconia A200? It does look decent though everything but exciting. Simply put – it’s “yet another Xoom” and by that I mean a device with a 10.1-inch screen, dual-core processor (NVidia Tegra 2), while Android Honeycomb is running the show. To be fair, the A200 does look sexy in red, while the black model looks like any other tablet out there. The news is that Acer’s baby is now available in the UK through Very.co.uk, which is offering it for 299 GBP (about $462). And … Read more
Good news if you own the Acer Iconia Tab A500 – the Taiwanese company is pushing the new software updates (two of them) for its 10.1-inch tablet as we speak. Don’t expect the Ice Cream Sandwich though; this is rather a maintenance update that will make your Iconia A500 snappier as well as bring the latest version (3.4.4) of the Android Market app along with a number of performance and stability enhancements under the hood. However there’s a word of caution for those of you with rooted Iconia Tab A500 … Read more
And we thought the Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be an affordable tablet? It may turn to be the case but not in Russia where, according to Mobile-Review, it will sell for 14,990 rubles (about $470). Yep it’s the same 10.1-inch device with a dual-core processor we’ve seen getting FCC’s seal of approval in October of this year. And again — considering the Asus Transformer Prime with quad-core processor will soon hit the market — we thought it will be cheaper. In comparison, Asus’ baby costs just $30 more, making … Read more
Already approved by the FCC, Acer Iconia Tab A200 has been officially announced as a tablet that “comes at a very affordable price”, though unfortunately we don’t know just how affordable that price is. It will be available soon in “select countries,” most likely U.S. and parts of Europe and Asia. At the moment, the Taiwanese company is shipping its baby with Android 3.2 Honeycomb on board, though that will change starting from January 2012 when everyone who buys the device will get Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed. At that point, … Read more

As you’re about to see, the Taiwanese company is pitching the device’s multimedia capabilities to the users, touting the device as an ideal way to consume and share photos, music and video content. As far as we know, the A200 will be a budget tablet, most likely costing around $400 — it will sport the NVidia Tegra 2 processor rather … Read more
It looks like the tablet bubble has finally arrived. Starting in 2012, companies such as HP, Acer, Asus and Dell are planning to gradually drop out of the tablet game altogether, according to information obtained by DigiTimes. Manufacturers believe they don’t have any advantages to compete in the tablet market and are looking to exit stage left. The DigiTimes report was quickly rebuffed by Asus and Dell. According to ZDnet, both companies flat-out deny any reports they are exiting the tablet market. Despite this denial, I can see why the original report may be … Read more
