HTC One X landing on AT&T next week?

We knew that the HTC One X would be landing on AT&T at some point in the near future, but it may be sooner than you think. According to BGR, the highly anticipated handset could land on store shelves as early as next week. When it does become officially available in the US, the One X will be the best phone in the market, by far. The international version’s sleek design will be retained in AT&T’s offering, unlike the WTF different design found on the upcoming Sprint EVO 4G LTE. Read more

HTC Gold (aka Wildfire C) renders outed

If you thought that the HTC One line was all we’d be seeing from the company for a while, think again. A render of the HTC Golf has just emerged, which looks to be a refresh of the Wildfire S. This entry-level device doesn’t pack the punch in specs, but it will in price. The Wildfire has never attempted to get the attention of those who are just fine spending $200+ on a new smartphone, as it’s pretty much as budget as budget phones get, and we can imagine that Read more

Canada’s SaskTel will join the HTC One craze by adding the One S model to its portfolio in the near future. We don’t know when exactly that will happen, but my guess is you’ll be able to get your unit by the end of this month. And if you don’t live in SaskTel’s coverage area — or want to sign-up with some other carrier — there are other options, namely Bell, Virgin Mobile, TELUS and Fido, all of which will offer the HTC One S, too. If you recall, the Read more

Video: 9 minutes and 19 painful seconds explaining why HTC Sense 4.0 is garbage

People give me a lot of shit for saying that the only Android devices worth buying are the Nexus handsets. There are few exceptions to that rule, namely the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Samsung Galaxy Note, but for the most part … I simply can’t deal with the atrocities that handset makers commit for the sake of differentiation. Brandon Miniman from Pocketnow made a beautiful 9 minute and 19 second video demoing HTC’s new flagship device, the One X, and how it compares to the latest Nexus device: Read more

HTC One S ceramic coating starting to chip? (Updated)

The HTC One S is one of the most well-reviewed Android devices to date. IntoMobile gave it a 9/10 overall and a 9/10 for design. The latter score is notable because, well, that premium design HTC has been touting apparently doesn’t last too long. Reports are coming in that the coating on the top side of the smartphone is starting to chip off after minimal usage. HTC describes the design of the HTC One series as follows: This stunning phone comes in two exceptional finishes. The first goes through a Read more

Verizon’s HTC Droid Incredible 2, HTC Rhyme now free (with a contract)

It seems that Verizon will soon discontinue two of its Android smartphones — HTC Droid Incredible 2 and HTC Rhyme — both of which now have the magical price point of zero dollars (FREE). The offer is good “while supplies last” and also asks you to put your signature on a two-year contract, which is well, required in most cases with any U.S. carrier. Specs wise, we’re talking about mid-range devices (by today’s standards) that will most certainly be “good enough” for most users. Moreover, both phones have the specs Read more
