Contact UsNot sure how we missed this cause it’s pretty interesting. Nevertheless we’re going with this news even though it’s not as hot as it used to be 10 days ago… Imagine a high-end smartphone with a dual-core processor, huge touchscreen, LTE data and a ton of built-in storage. SpareOne phone is a complete opposite – it’s a super-basic feature phone with two neat extras: It runs off a single AA battery while providing up to 10 hours of talk time Its battery shelf life lasts 15 years (with Energizer Ultimate … Read more
We all know that tablets are blowing up in coffee shops and in planes but a new study from Cisco suggests that these devices will play an ever-increasing role with businesses. The study surveyed the tablet opinions of 1,500 IT managers and executives in multiple countries about their opinions on tablets in the workplace and the results were pretty interesting. While it’s still at the early stages, I think it’s safe to say that tablets like the iPad are going to play a larger role in the workforce in 2012 … Read more
You may think of Belkin as just routers and the occasional iPad case but after touring its booth at CES 2012, I came away impressed with how it is thinking about how mobile can make your life easier in your house. If you have a small child, the Belkin-made Evoz digital monitor is a smart way to keep an ear on what’s happening, as well as track your child’s sleeping patterns. There were also multiple WiFi-connected smart plugs which will let you use a smartphone app to turn virtually anything … Read more
New information from TechCrunch suggests Apple’s rumored NYC event will focus on iBooks and publishing. Sources told the blog that Apple will reveal several “improvements to the iBooks platform.” They didn’t say what these changes were, but they will be minor. Currently, iBooks is available for the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad. It lets iOS owners purchase books from the iBookStore as well as transfer their own PDF and ePub documents. It’s a relatively new service that has yet to take off for Apple. iBooks are more expensive than their Amazon … Read more
A report from AllThingsD claims Apple is holding an event at the end of January in New York City. According to their source, the event won’t be about the iPad 3 or the rumored Apple-branded TV, but will be a media related shin dig. Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Internet Software and Services, is supposedly involved in the announcement. The topic for the event is a big mystery. The media-related theme and presence of Cue suggests the announcement is tied into iTunes, the iBookStore, iCloud or the App Store. Apple … Read more
Groove Coaster for iOS is one of my two favorite games for the iPhone, the other being Tiny Wings. It’s this weird Japanese music game that’s essentially dance dance revolution, but for your finger. You can play it with one hand, and if you hook up your iPhone to your home stereo it’s absolutely mind blowing. It also runs on the iPad, but since I don’t own one it’s hard to say whether or not it scales well to a 9.7 inch screen. Anyway, it’s currently $0.99 in the App … Read more
