Of course she was referring to Yahoo’s acquisition of Tumblr, which we reported on earlier today. But the redesign of Flickr, it’s lovely new Android app, and especially the 1 TB of free storage available were certainly big news as well. In 2012, Apple had the highest score out of any cell phone manufacturer with an 83. This year, still at the highest, it has actually dropped … Read more

Here is my by no means exhaustive take on the event. After 15 minutes or so of some seriously epic pump up music and a countdown clock, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb briefly appeared to welcome us. Next Bill Gates started … Read more

While it may take until next year until we see the first devices in North America with NVIDIA’s Tegra 4i processor, the company is showing great progress getting its latest SoC up and running with Category 4 LTE, hitting 150Mbps of data. Currently, Cat 4 LTE isn’t deployed on any carrier in the US, so the demo was essentially just a proof of concept. Through software optimizations only, NVIDIA has certainly been hard at work to ensure tha the Tegra 4i will be ready for Cat 4 LTE to entice … Read more
It looks like owners of Windows Phone powered Nokia Lumia handsets is getting another perk when it comes to apps and features. Foursquare is granting Nokia devices access to a small set of exclusive features in the latest update. The major addition being touted is a new augmented reality view that puts venue information right in your live camera view. To access it, all users have to do is tap the camera icon at the top of the map screen. We’re guessing the point of this augmented reality feature is … Read more

The long-time rumored Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has been caught in the wild and you can see how it looks like from the image above. Instead of boasting a plastic body, this model comes in a metallic shell with bolts on the back. Moreover, it has three hardware buttons that replace the “old” capacitive touch keys, giving its owners an extra proof of toughness (or something of that sort). Earlier we reported that the Galaxy S4 Active won’t have processor as fast as the one “regular” Galaxy S4 has; now … Read more
