Photos of this one leaked back at the end of August. But the Samsung SGH-A83 is not expected to be released till the end of this month. Look for it to fill a gap in AT&T’s device line, as it’s more of a ‘rugged’ phone that should appeal to the outdoors type. The Samsung SGH-A83 is said to be 3G-capable, and also comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, push-to-talk and bluetooth… all built-in. Looks like one sturdy phone. The kind you can throw in your camper or fishing boat and not worry about damaging it. Not that I have a camper or fishing boat… I’m just saying.
Similar offerings from Verizon are the Boulder, the Adventure… While Sprint offers up the Renegade and Pro-700.
