If you’re hoping to do some hardcore word processing on your Android phone, Quickoffice has your back. The company has just released Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite for Android 1.6 and higher and it features multiple ways to keep track of your documents on the go.
As expected, you’ll be able to use Quickoffice Connect to view, open and edit Microsoft Word documents and you’ll also be able to view PDF files. There’s extensive font editing, and you can even edit e-mail attachments directly from the Android e-mail client. One of the coolest things about this app is that it plays nice with Google Docs, Dropbox, Box.net and MobileMe, so you don’t have to load your files directly on the device all the time. This also means you can save files to the device, your memory card, or directly to these cloud services.
It also includes a spreadsheet editor with all the expected features and a PowerPoint presentation editor. If you’re rocking an Android phone with 2.0 or above, you’ll be able to use multitouch with the PowerPoint program, as well as flick to scroll. Having all these programs doesn’t come cheap, as the app costs $15 for a limited time. But if you’re in need of this type of app on the go, I’m sure it’s well worth it.
