Another Android phone from Motorola is coming through the pipes, though it likely won’t wow anyone as much as the Droid X. Instead, the Motorola WX445 is aiming for the budget crowd with a light battery, smaller 2.5-3″ screen, and was described as a cheaper-looking Palm Pre Plus, and “not a very impressive phone” overall. It comes loaded with the Motoblur social networking suite and runs Android 2.1, so at least the software will be somewhat modern.
The curvier lines make for a nice change of pace from the sharp edges and square shapes most of Motorola’s Android phones seem to take on. We’re still waiting on hard specs for the WX445, but we’re expecting them to be middle-to-low range. One can only hope that the price point will be accordingly low.
