If you love Evernote like I do, you definitely follow “every step they make” in a hope they’ll push their service even further. The popular note-taking tool is out with “The Trunk,” a service that showcases various Evernote integrations.
As you know, Evernote does notes like no one else with its features including cross-platform synchronization (mobile included), image recognition, note creation and storage. Various companies from all around the world rely on the technologies mentioned above to make their products and services more useful and to tap the ever-growing Evernote user base. So Evernote decided to give them some exposure as a little “thank you” for using their service.
In “The Trunk” you’ll find such Evernote integrations that do voice transcription (Dial2Do, pliq.me, QuickTate), PDF annotation (PDFpen, Nitro PDF Reader), mind mapping (Zeptopad Planner Note), publishing and sharing (Lil’grams) and business card and receipt scanning (ScanBizCards, Receipts). Moreover, the service also features “Notebook” category, featuring content assembled by lifestyle and special interest publications. You’ll find notebooks by Make Magazine, Cool Hunting, California Home and Design, and BlackBook Magazine, as well as collections of games and puzzles from Puzzazz.com and notebooks of useful tips from the Evernote Tips blog. To access these notebooks, all you have to do is select the content of interest, and a new notebook is automatically delivered to your account without affecting monthly upload allowance.
The just launched first phase is made only to showcase Evernote integrations. Phase 2, which is coming this winter, will introduce in-application purchasing and other revenue opportunities for listed products, effectively turning “The Trunk” into the Evernote App Store. Love it!
The Trunk is available for Evernote on Windows, Mac and Web, with mobile versions set to be released in the near future…
