The security company NetQin Mobile released NetQin Mobile Manager 3.0 for Android mobile devices. The application comes with several handy features, all designed to keep users in control of their phone:

  • Call Manager – enables the black list feature, allowing users to block unwanted callers – the numbers in the list will be automatically rejected by the system.
  • Contacts Backup – in case contacts are lost or need to be transferred to a new device.
  • Private Space – it’s like a hidden area in the phone to keep private contacts, and private call logs and messages from the aforementioned contacts. Once enabled, this “space” can’t be accessed unless you know how to and, I guess, have the right password.
  • Safe Driving – which is designed to keep the user from being distracted from the road while driving. A speed sensor in the device detects when a vehicle reaches a preset speed, and upon reaching this, Safe Driving mode will be activated, automatically rejecting calls by sending out an automatic response text message or completely ignoring them [calls], as preset by the user.

All in all, NetQin Mobile Manager 3.0 is a neat utility most of us should have installed on our smartphones. You can find it in the Android Market…
