coresystems, which is the world leader in next generation apps and solutions in the SAP environment, announced that it will bring its coresuite mobile solution to Windows Phone 7.
Based on Microsoft Silverlight, coresuite mobile is touted to be “just the right solution” for business customers looking for a mobile ERP solution for their smartphone.
The application will be available for download free of charge on the Microsoft Marketplace, synchronizing the data with SAP Business One via the coresuite Cloud. Of course, companies will also have to grab appropriate license(s) to use the solution and these cost 9.90 EUR per month per users.
In addition to SAP, coresystems also plans to support other ERP systems at some point in the future, further making the case for using a Windows Phone 7 device in a business (enterprise) environment.
Finally, the company’s CTO Yves Senn commented on the mobile app (client) development process – he said: “It was not as easy to adapt our coresuite mobile business app to Windows Phone 7 as we had at first expected. However, the development time has, on the whole, been considerably shorter than was, or is, the case for other platforms.” Looks like that line was almost sponsored by Microsoft to entice developers to jump on board…
