A company called Snapp! Designs launched iDigger – an archeological game for the iOS device users where the player can use archeological tools to discover fossilized bones of the T-Rex dinosaur. And it’s not just a game since educational features are also included in the mix.

The story line goes like this (from the press release):

The player starts out as a new and upcoming archeologist who is trying to win the heart of a big shot doctor. In order to do this, the young scientist needs to gain some nobility so that his dream girl will notice him. He decides to make his own fossilized skeleton of a T-Rex. Once the player chooses an area to dig on the excavation site, they can use the shovel to “tap and dig”. The player will pick up any objects found lying in the dirt. It is then up to the player to decide whether they want to sift it or dust it off.

And after an object is dusted or sifted off, there’s an option of answering a trivia question to double the score…

If you want to see iDigger in action before pouring out a buck to download the application, check out the following video.
