Notion Ink teasing us today for official Adam unveiling tomorrow? [UPDATE]

If the Android-powered Adam tablet that Notion Ink has been talking up on the weekly turns out to be vaporware, expect a significant fallout from its eager fans, and a hefty laugh to the cynical bloggers who love to say, “I told you so,”. Thankfully, it really does look like Notion Ink will deliver on their promise, and we may even see the official pre-order website go live tomorrow.

Notion Ink usually updates their blog every Saturday, but today the company decided to throw a small post on their blog to tease us avid Adam fans. All we’ve got at this point is the number 1.61803399, the golden ratio, which NI has talked up quite a bit before in regards to the Adam. No, it doesn’t look like it’ll be a part of any more geek-mystery, as the post little more than a hype-builder leading up to tomorrow’s expected unveiling. Or, well, later today. It’s already the 9th in India, so we may see the pre-order page, if that’s what the countdown truly signifies, later today.

So if you’re one of those who will be able to pre-order the Adam in the first round of pre-orders, you’ll not only have to first dibs on the first Pixel Qi tablet, but there are 6 variants, and likely multiple colors to choose from. Let’s just hope they have a decent supply of these things available. Notion Ink is building a lot of hype behind this tablet, and even the smallest misstep will be a big fault. The Adam best deliver the goods, and with its published spec sheet, it should do just that. Of course, there will always be something more people will want, right?

If pre-orders for this tablet do end up going live later today or tomorrow, we have to wonder how many people will be buying one. Prices are rather decent on the device, so at least you know you’ll spend less than $500 on the most expensive version of the Adam. Given the price, we can see the Adam doing quite well.

If the pre-order page goes live anytime soon, we’ll be sure to update this post.

So, who’s ready?

[UPDATE] Well, it looks like things may be moving along  at the Notion Ink Blog, as the picture we saw earlier today has been replaced with the picture below. Virtually the same picture, the cloth is now revealing almost half of the Adam, and if we’re lucky, it may indeed reveal the entire device by night’s end.
