Enego is the company behind a new poker application for the iOS devices – Poker Buddies. Touted as a “first of its kind poker app,” it lets players challenge their friends to multiple, simultaneous one-on-one Texas hold’em games online, on Facebook or on their iPhone or iPad.
When a player first enters the game, he/she can invite friends to play via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter or choose to challenge a random opponent to a match. Each match is a one-on-one with winner taking all game of tournament rules Texas hold’em that does not end until all chips are in a single player’s possession. And because Poker Buddies is a turn-based game, you can play multiple matches simultaneously against different opponents. Overall, there are 13 different levels of gameplay and a chat feature included.
According to Enego, two unique features set Poker Buddies aside from other poker apps: first is the ability to log-in and play two different ways – via an iPhone or iPad or by visiting the game’s website; and second is that by winning you earn points which could bring you some real world prizes ranging from gift cards to HDTVs.
