The iPhone is no longer an AT&T exclusive toy hence the carrier decided to dedicate some of its resources to the other elephant in the room – Android. As a result, those of you with smartphones running Google’s mobile OS will be able to keep up with the latest news from the world of college basketball with the NCAA March Madness Fan Zone app, which until now was available for the iOS-powered devices only.
The application brings latest NCAA scores, news and rankings through the regular season and Men’s Final Four. Fans of all Division I teams can also join the conversation by posting messages on team and game-specific groups, create private groups and invite friends to any group via Facebook, Twitter or SMS.
NCAA March Madness Fan Zone is available as a free download from the Android Market and will work on select smartphones — which that doesn’t mean only those that are offered by AT&T. Alternatively, users can text BB to 483353 to receive a direct download link.
