Telstra announced that it will bring the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo to Australia. Pricing and availability information are unknown at the moment, and we’ll have to wait for a “date closer to launch” to find that out. In the meantime, it’s good to know Telstra wants to keep up with the times and have a “fresh” portfolio of products all the time.
As you probably know by now, the Xperia neo comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA Mobile BRAVIA Engine capacitive touchscreen, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, GPS, Bluetooth, all of the “standard for Android” sensors and a memory card slot. Moreover, there are HDMI and DNLA connectivity options making it easy to send pictures and video from the phone to a TV screen.
The phone runs Android 2.3 with Sony Ericsson’s own UI singing on top of it. You can check our initial thoughts on the device from the “hands-on” post.
