The iPhone 5 rumors never seem to stop. We’ve already heard a number of reports suggesting Apple’s forthcoming smartphone may or may not rock NFC capability, larger (4-inch?) screen, smart bezel for controls, metal backing and so on. The latest tidbit of information comes from Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities, who has apparently been right on target in the past. Mr. Kuo talked with sources in Apple’s supply chain to learn that the iPhone 5 will sport the same A5 processor a la iPad 2 (no surprises here), improved antenna design and Qualcomm’s baseband for both GSM and CDMA models. Moreover, Ming-Chi said the camera on the back will count 8 megapixels, and we hope it’s Sony which will provide its technology to make this happen. Finally, it is said that Cupertino folks will start the iPhone 5 production in September.
Unfortunately, the 4-inch screen was not confirmed, leaving our fingers crossed for additional few months… Any thoughts? Comments form is all yours. 😉
